What are the Benefits of the Leisure Access Program?
What is the Leisure Access Program? The Leisure Access Program is for Cranbrook residents whose limited income may prevent them from participating in basic recreation services. Applicants are screened to verify that residents with low income may receive access to the program and the reduced rates it offers. Low income status is determined as per the 2009 National Council of Welfare low income figures. See chart.

What do I Need To Prove I am Eligible? Proof of City Residency: And one of the following: * MHSD Release of Personal Information confirming current eligibility for Employment and Income Assistance or Persons with Persistent Multiple Barriers or Persons with Disabilities. * CPPD standard benefit letter from Service Canada. * Verification from an adjudicator to confirm your need based on income. The adjudicator must verify that the situation of applicant is known, they are residents of Cranbrook, their total family income is below the Low Income Chart rate and provide the required information should a review of the application be necessary. All completed forms must be faxed to Cranbrook Leisure Services at 250-489-6154 by partnering agencies. Access Cards will be available for pick up at the front desk of Aquatic Centre one week from time the application is received. Utility Bills or tenancy agreement and, Proof of Identification: BC Drivers License, passport, BC Photo ID
