The Cranbrook Rec-Plex is the premiere recreation and entertainment complex in the East and West Kootenay.  The facility hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, and is also the home facility for the Western Hockey League’s Kootenay Ice.

 The facility is located in the south east corner of British Columbia and serves a population of approximately 60 000. Approximately 90% of this population reside within a 90 mile radius of Cranbrook.  Another 50 000 people live in the adjacent Nelson-Creston Electoral District. The communities within this area are approximately 100 to 150 miles away from Cranbrook.

The Rec-Plex is the only venue in this service area that can accommodate large concerts and events.

 Cranbrook is well located for shows routing through Vancouver, Kelowna, Kamloops, Calgary and Lethbridge.  Our location on Highways 3, 93 and 95 allows easy access to the US to the south, the Alberta market to the east and to the Lower Mainland and Okanagan to the west.  The city can easily be connected to from the Trans Canada Highway at Golden, BC.

 Our facility can be configured in a variety of ways.  The venue hosts 4672 seats plus floor, so is able to accommodate large scale shows.
